What’s In Your Toolbox?
Working Spots $180 (FULL), Auditing $50 unlimited
Every handler should have a “toolbox” of handling cues to choose from to drive the dog around the course, and every dog and handler will need a different toolbox. This seminar will help each handler develop their own handling system with a toolbox of handling cues specific to their own dogs, as well as use a series of motivating games to turn weaknesses into strengths, increase handling understanding and solidify teamwork and connection on course.

There are a variety of handling options available nowadays to help master the ever-evolving course challenges we see in competition. Which “moves” will work for you and your dog? In this seminar, handlers will play with a series of handling drills and games designed to produce tighter turns, more speed and more accuracy on course, while helping the handlers understand the cues and timing to fit the needs of the individual dog. We will look at the “traditional” crosses and turning cues, as well as the new exciting cues designed to fit today’s challenges. Each working team will be developing their own handling system by clarifying what each cue means to the dog, when the dog needs to get the information and how to stay connected with the dog.

Level: Starters/Novice, Open/Advanced, Masters/Excellent – Short drills & sequences will have just jumps and tunnels.
Event fees are non-refundable, unless filled via the waitlist.
There will be a one hour lunch break.
To be put on the WAITLIST, please click on the "FULL" button and fill out the registration.
